Palitana is a pilgrimage centre where Jains celebrate the festival. Palitana Taluka’s Shatrunjay hills serve as a gathering place for devotees. After this, they embark on a journey of exemplary auspiciousness. 216 km of rough terrain will be covered during this Shri Shatrunjay Tirth Yatra. Devotees walk barefoot to reach the Lord Adinath temple and worship at the top of the hill.

Karhtik Purnima Vrath 2024

Kartik Purnima fasting is a popular Hindu practice observed by Lord Shiva’s devotees. It is observed on the full moon day in the month of Karthik (October-November) and is considered a very auspicious day for fasting. This year the fasting time starts on November 26, 2024, at 15:55 pm and ends on November 27, 2022, at 14:45 pm.

It is believed that Tripurasur built three Tripura towns in space after he defeated the gods. As a result of Lord Shiva’s arrow at Kartik Purnima, Tripurasur’s reign was ended. In celebration of the light, the Devatas declared the day as Dev Deepavali.
