myAadhaar Portal: Your Online Hub for Aadhaar Services

myAadhaar is UIDAI’s official self-service website at myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in, where you manage almost everything to do with your Aadhaar from home. It replaced the older separate portals and now brings downloading, updating, locking, ordering, and verifying together under one login. Most actions need a one-time password sent to your Aadhaar-registered mobile so that number is essentially your key to the portal.

Think of myAadhaar as the front desk for your Aadhaar. Instead of visiting a centre for routine tasks you sign in here. Only things that need live biometric capture such as fingerprint updates still require an actual centre visit.

The portal gathers most Aadhaar tasks in one place. Here are the main ones:

Download your eAadhaar the digital PDF that’s legally equal to the printed card. Update your address and supporting documents online. Order a PVC Aadhaar card and track it. Generate a Virtual ID (VID) and lock or unlock your biometrics. View your authentication history and verify an Aadhaar number. Book an enrolment centre appointment and file or track a complaint.

If your mobile isn’t registered with Aadhaar you can’t log in for most services and will need to register it at a centre first. A handful of options like ordering a PVC card or verifying a number work without logging in at all.

How to Download eAadhaar on myAadhaar

From the dashboard choose “Download Aadhaar” confirm your details and the portal generates a PDF. The file is password-protected. The password is the first four letters of your name in capitals plus your year of birth for example RAVI1990.

Address is the main demographic change you can complete fully online here. Open the address update service log in enter your new address and upload a clear scan of a valid address proof such as a utility bill bank passbook or rental agreement. You get a request number to track it and the change typically reflects within a few days to a couple of weeks.

Updating documents online was free until 14 June 2026 so check the current fee on the portal before starting. Other demographic changes and all biometric updates are covered in their own separate guides.

Viewing Authentication History on myAadhaar

myAadhaar also lets you see where your Aadhaar has actually been used. Open “Authentication History” choose a date range within the last six months and the portal lists each authentication along with the agency type date and whether it succeeded up to 50 records at a time.
