One can log in to the portal established by Protean e-Gov Technologies to facilitate the PAN Card download. A PAN card holder can implement the following steps.

Download Pan Via Acknowledgement Number 

STEP 1: The cardholder must visit the official website of Protean eGov technologies to facilitate the PAN card download via acknowledgement number. 

STEP 2: The user must then mention the acknowledgement number received on their device. 

STEP 3: Select the Generate OTP option. 

STEP 4: Mention the OTP received on the registered mobile number and select the ‘Validate’ option. 

STEP 5: One can download the e-PAN card instantaneously after selecting the ‘Download PDF’ option.

STEP 1: Visit the Protean eGov portal to download your PAN Card

STEP 2: The user is required to mention details such as Date of Birth, Captcha Code and PAN. 

STEP 3: After successfully mentioning the details above and selecting the ‘submit’ button, one can download the e-PAN card for free. 

Simple Steps Involved In Downloading Your PAN Card

Here are steps one should remember while generating a PAN card online through the TIN Platform. 

STEP 1: Users will be provided with a Token Number, which one can employ for future references. 

STEP 2: Click on ‘continue to Tax Application form’ after one has written a token number. 

STEP 3: Select the mode in which one can select PAN application documents under the section ‘Personal Details’.  

STEP 4: One can opt for one of three options on the screen regarding PAN Card submission.

  • Make a digital submission with e-Sign and e-KYC.
  • Utilise e-Sing to submit scanned images.
  • Physically forward the documents to the respective authorities.

After mentioning the Aadhaar Number, Name on the Aadhaar Number, Father and mother’s name and EID number, the user must click on the ‘next’ option. 

STEP 6: Cardholders would be redirected to the Contact details page where they must provide information regarding the ‘Address of communication’. It can be either an office or a residence. One must also mention their contact details and email address. Click on the ‘Next’ option after mentioning all the details. 

STEP 7: The cardholder will be redirected to the document details page, where they must upload their Aadhaar card as proof of identity, address and date of birth. Click on ‘Submit’ after adding the declaration by mentioning the name and place. 

STEP 8: The cardholder will be redirected to the payment gateway, where they must make the mentioned payment to conclude the process. The applicant would receive an acknowledgement number after a successful payment through which they can avail of the facility established by the government.

The citizen can also facilitate the PAN Card Download from the UTIITSL Platform. It is to be noted that only PAN Card holders who have applied for a PAN through the UTIITSL platform.  

STEP 1: Visit the official portal of the UTIITSL. https://www.pan.utiitsl.com/PAN_ONLINE/ePANCard

e-PAN Card Download Through Aadhaar

Citizens can also utilise their Aadhaar Card to conclude the PAN Card Download. Follow the steps mentioned below to conclude the process. 

STEP 1: Visit the official portal of Protean eGov Technologies Limited, established by the Income Tax Department. Select the PAN option. 

STEP 2: Mention information such as PAN, Aadhaar Card Number, Date of Birth and GSTIN; 

STEP 3: Check the ‘Terms and Conditions’ box for declaration. 

STEP 4: One should enter the captcha code on the field. 

STEP 5: Select the ‘Submit’ button to proceed with the procedure. 

STEP 6: The user will be redirected to a new page to generate OTP, which they will receive on their registered mobile number.

Downloading e-PAN Card Through Income Tax India e-filing

The e-PAN card download can also be facilitated through the India e-filing portal, where one is required to implement the following steps: 

STEP 1: Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal and select the ‘Instant e-PAN’. 

STEP 2: The user will be redirected to a new page with a Dashboard. 

STEP 3: Navigate towards the Download PAN option.

There is an absence of an app that supports e-PAN card download. To download ePAN, one must go to either the NSDL website or the UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited website.

Who is Eligible to Download PAN Card

Except for minors and those covered by Section 160 of the Income Tax Act, Indian residents are eligible to apply for an ePAN card. Therefore, Hindu Undivided Families, businesses, trusts, companies, etc. cannot receive an ePAN card. The information submitted into the Aadhar Card is used to build the ePan.
