This step has been taken by authorities to counter the fraudulent voter IDs made on an individual name. The Biometric feature of the Aadhaar Card makes it unfeasible for the voter ID to be misused. 

 Link Aadhaar with Voter ID Online Through NVSP Portal

Find below the step-by-step process to link your Aadhaar card with Voter ID through the NVSP portal. 

STEP 1: Visit the official portal of NVSP

 

STEP 2: Select the ‘Search in Electoral Roll’ option featured on the homepage.

 

STEP 3: After clicking on the option mentioned above, the page will direct you to a form in the ‘Search by details’ option where you are required to fill the featured fields. Fill in the personal details such as

• Name 
• Age 
• Date of Birth (DOB) 
• Father /Husband’s Name
• Gender
  

And electoral details such as 

• State 
• District 
• Assembly Constituency

You can also avail the second option  of ‘Search by EPIC no.’ where you’re required to fill your 

• EPIC Number 
• State

STEP 4: After successfully entering all the above-mentioned details. Select the search option after entering the security code. 

STEP 5: The next page will exhibit the user’s voter ID details if the filled details coincide with one in a Government database. 

STEP 6: Find the “Feed Aadhaar Number” option on the screen’s left-hand side. And select it. 

STEP 7: Enter the details such as the Aadhaar card number, EPIC number featured in the Voter ID, UID number, and your registered e-mail ID and phone number on the pop-up window. And select the ‘Submit’ button. 

You’ll receive an intimation informing the successful completion of the Voter card Aadhar Card Link process.   

Procedure to Link Aadhaar with Voter ID via SMS

The Voters can also Link Aadhaar with Voter id through SMS. The individual is required to send an SMS and follow the instructions given below:

• Locate and visit the nearest Booth Level Officer by visiting the official website of the Election Commission of India.
• Fill in and submit the application form to initiate the Voter Card Aadhar Card link.
• The concerned officer will verify the details before linking the Aadhaar with the Voter ID of the concerned individual. 

Procedure to Link Aadhaar Card with Voter ID through Phone

Voter Card Aadhar Card Link requests can be made via phone call. The concerned individual can make a phone call at 1950 anywhere between 10-5 PM from Monday to Friday. After connecting with the customer care executive, the individual must share their Aadhaar Card and EPIC number with them. The details provided would be verified from the other end, and the process to link the Aadhaar card with voter ID will conclude. The individual would receive the confirmation on the call itself.
